CURRENT EVENTS IN THE PRESCOTT AREA!!

By Stephanie Woods
Here are some of this week’s interesting currents events presented by The Stephanie Woods Team.

Skate park options need public opinions
The new skate park will be built around the site of the old skate park at the Chino Valley Community Center Park on Road 1 East. Both options are linear, around the existing parks, along a dirt path and on a vacant area behind the park's maintenance yard.
Local skateboarders and bicyclists who use skate parks, and other interested groups, can see two computer-generated plan options for a new skate park in Chino Valley and can give their comments at a public hearing in late April.
The Town will place the meeting fliers at each school in the community, as well as the usual Town posting sites - Town Hall north campus, 1020 W. Palomino Road (outside wall next to the Children's Library entrance); Town Hall south campus, 202 N. Highway 89 (indoor wall of the front entrance foyer); Chino Valley Post Office, 735 E. Road 2 North (indoor lobby right of entrance); or on the Town's website at www.chinoaz.net.
The Town, however, has no budget to build the skate park, and Public Works Director/Town Engineer Ron Grittman said he's counting on in-kind donations of materials and certain types of labor from the community, along with some Town staff labor.

FLEA MARKET!!
April 12 is the High Desert Museum Flea Market from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cordes Lakes Community Center. Vendors should call Bill at 928-458-9093 to rent a space. A Stevens Security Model 320 12-gauge pump shotgun is being raffled. Only 200 tickets will be sold, at $10 each. Call Albert at 928-925-6749 for tickets. Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bake sale takes place until all the goodies are gone.

CASINO NIGHT
On Saturday, April 26, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. the Mayer Area Activity Center will host its annual Casino Night, this year with a Western theme. Ten dollars

GLASSFORD HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION GO AHEAD
The Prescott Valley Town Council has an emergency measure to allow the adoption of a proposed annexation of 1,259 acres located west of the Granville subdivision, south of State Route 89A. This will be a new master-planned community owned by Arizona Eco Development LLC (AED), an Arizona – based real estate holding company with Jason Gisi as president. Mr. Gisi has said that he hopes the project will be moving forward by 2015.

PRESCOTT AREA NEIGHBORHOOD REVIEWS -- PART 3

By Stephanie Woods

The Stephanie Woods Team presents a series of posts on subdivisions to help keep you updated and educated on our beautiful Prescott area!

Ranked as one of our country's Top Ten Places to retire many times over by top national news and retirement organizations, Prescott has grown in notoriety, but still remains "Everybody's Hometown", a perfectly charming blend of amenities, historical homes and sites, as well as some of the nation's most beautiful landscape and the finest weather and climate you could find!

CLIFF ROSE: Cliff Rose located on Hwy 89 just two miles from the Bob Stump Northern Arizona Veterans Hospital. Cliff Rose offers many amenities like all underground services, sidewalks and gutters and all within walking distance to the City of Prescott's Rowle P. Simmons Community Center. Homes in the Cliff Rose subdivision range in price from the low $200's to the high $400's with views of Granite Mountain, Granite Dells and Watson Lakes.

Cliff Rose is very close to all Prescott shopping centers including WalMart, Sam's Club, Prescott Gateway Mall and the downtown Plaza with famous "Whiskey Row". Great resturants in both Prescott and Prescott Valley offer a variety of cuisine and the Entertainment District in Prescott Valley has the Harkins MultiPlex Theatres and other entertainment options.

CLOUDSTONE: Offering various models of patio homes, from moderately sized single level homes, to 3,000+ Sq. Ft. two story homes, you will find a wonderful versatility of options offering stunning views, a stellar Prescott location, and new construction options!

COPPER CANYON: Just minutes from the quaint shops and restaurants of historic Courthouse Plaza, tucked away in the tall pines and granite boulders, you will find this small, neighborhood of upscale homes. Copper Canyon Village is a custom subdivision of just 62 lots. This development has no HOA or dues, only protective CC&R’s, which are in place to support your investment and tranquil lifestyle. Homes here range in size between 1152 and 4000 sq. ft, with a current average sales price in the mid $300k’s.  The gentle rolling terrain, the tall ponderosa pines and junipers, and the panoramic views are just a few of the many reasons you will fall in love with this neighborhood.
